  • Founder

Kira Steele (she/her) is the founder and driving force behind Catalyst Haven.

With a career rooted in the substance use and mental health sectors and strengthened by expertise in digital innovation, Kira has become a trusted leader in developing sustainable advocacy strategies. Her work blends professional experience with lived expertise, allowing her to design approaches that are both authentic and impactful.

Kira’s background includes leading non-profits in harm reduction and recovery, managing organizations from the ground up, and advancing community-driven policies. She brings a unique combination of business strategy, program development, and policy advocacy that helps organizations amplify their influence and achieve long-term impact.

Her skills span across strategic planning, advocacy campaigns, digital storytelling, web design, and content development… all directed toward supporting organizations in shaping policy, engaging communities, and strengthening their missions.

Kira holds a Bachelor of Commerce (BComm) and is pursuing her Master of Business Administration (MBA) as of 2024. This academic foundation, combined with her on-the-ground experience, informs her ability to bridge strategy with execution in ways that empower progressive organizations to thrive.

At Catalyst Haven, Kira transforms her lived experiences into actionable insights, championing approaches that prioritize dignity, equity, and resilience. Under her leadership, Catalyst Haven has evolved from a digital communications agency into a full strategy and advocacy partner, redefining how organizations drive systemic progress in an interconnected world.

With humility and gratitude, our work takes place on sovereign Indigenous lands and traditional territories across Turtle Island.

In the spirit of reconciliation, we acknowledge that we live, work and play on the traditional territories of the Nêhiyaw (Cree), Dené, Niitsitapi (Blackfoot), Anishinaabe, Nakota Isga (Nakota Sioux), as well as the Métis Peoples of Region 4 and all people who make their homes in the Treaty 6 region of Central Alberta.

We are grateful for the traditional Knowledge Keepers and Elders who are still with us today and those who have gone before us. We make this acknowledgement as an act of reconciliation and gratitude to those whose territory we reside on.
